Lerato P. Matheka is a senior journalist with the Newsday Newspaper Lesotho and investigative journalism fellow with MNNCIJ. She has been a journalist for nine years, climbing up the ladder. Lerato started her career as entertainment reporter but after her participation at the 2014 International Visitors’ Leadership Program (IVLP) Edward R. Murrow’s exchange program for journalists, she moved from a junior position and started writing feature articles. From growth in the media fraternity of Lesotho, she was invited to the African Journalists familiarisation tour ahead of the COP22 in 2016 in Morocco. The same year she won best climate change features award. She is currently a student with the London school of journalism pursuing Freelance and Features writing.
